  1.                         How to Use PC PURSUIT
  2.                         -----------------------

  4.        After you are a registered user, you must do the following
  5.        to use PC PURSUIT:
  6.  
  7.          a) Use your modem to call the local PC PURSUIT access number.
  8.          b) Request the city and destination phone number you wish to dial.
  9.          c) Hang up and then receive your call-back.
  10.          d) Await the connection and out-dial; then proceed just as
  11.             if you had dialed the destination phone number yourself.

  14.        Example:
  15.        --------
  16.        You live in New York and have an area code and phone number
  17.        of (212) 123-4567, and you wish to call a bulletin board in
  18.        San Francisco in the 415 area code at 765-4321.

  20.          a) Dial the local access number of 675-3738 to reach PC PURSUIT.
  21.  
  22.          b) When request session begins, answer the questions as shown in
  23.             this example:

  25.                          Welcome to Telenet PC Pursuit
  26.  
  27.                 Enter your 7-digit phone number (XXX-XXXX): 123-4567
  28.  
  29.                 Which city do you wish to call?  SAN FRAN
  30.  
  31.                 Enter the phone number you wish to call:  765-4321
  32.  
  33.                 You are #( ) in the queue. Do you want to wait,
  34.                 or restart? (Y/N/R)? Y
  35.

  37.          c) When you key in N(o) to the last question, your call
  38.             will be disconnected. If you enter R(e-enter), you
  39.             may re-answer all the questions. If you key in Y(es),
  40.             you will see the following:

  42.                 Your request is being processed.

  44.                 Please hang up and wait for your call-back.  Good bye!

  47.             At this point, you should set your modem and/or PC software
  48.             to the AUTO-ANSWER mode.

  51.          d) In about 20 seconds, you will receive a call-back from
  52.             PC PURSUIT.  You will see the following banners:

  54.                 This is your call-back.  Please stand by ...
  55.  
  56.                 Please wait for 3-step call completion.

  58.                 1) Network request submitted
  59.                 2) Network connection complete. Placing request call
  60.                 3) Connection complete
  61.                 ****

  64.          e) You now are connected to your requested destination city and
  65.             and phone number.  If you've accessed a public bulletin
  66.             board, most require that you enter two carriage returns
  67.             to initiate log-on. If your target telephone number
  68.             is busy, PC PURSUIT will start an automatic re-dial
  69.             sequence.

  72.          f) To disconnect from the PC PURSUIT service, simply hang
  73.             up from your communication software, modem and/or PC.

  76.          g) Customer Service - If you have any difficulty using
  77.             PC PURSUIT, call GTE Telenet Customer Service at (800)336-0437.
